We work with people to find relief from problems and distress and to promote the wellbeing of those seeking help together with those they care about.
Getting help
Requests for Counselling are welcomed from women and men of all racial, cultural and religious groups irrespective of sexual orientation, marital status or age. Anyone wishing to use the counselling service is welcome to contact us directly. Our staff are always glad to respond to your enquiries, to provide more information and to make an appointment. If you prefer you can ask someone else you know to make these initial enquiries for you. Professionals working with you are also able to refer you to us at your request.
Who we are
Adlerian Society of Wales (ASWa) is a therapy, consultation, training and research centre. Our counsellors are specialists in their field including mental health, social services, family care and parenting.
Those who are at an advanced stage of training to become registered Counsellors and accredited Adlerian Counsellors are closely supervised by members of staff at the Adlerian Society of Wales.
What happens when I phone?
On initial contact you will be given an appointment following which you will either be telephoned or invited to an initial meeting with one of our senior practitioners where we will think with you and assess the best way forward to ensure that you get the help you need.
You will then be given the phone number of a counsellor with appropriate experience and knowledge, to arrange an initial appointment, or they can be put in touch with you.
