Our primary aims are:

To offer counselling to our community based on the ideas and teachings of Alfred Adler.
- To integrate the good practice of other counselling approaches and work within an ethical framework that respects the value and contributions of the many different professionals who work towards the emotional and mental well-being of our membership.
- To offer student-focused counselling training at all levels, from Introductory to Diploma (qualified counsellor) level.
- To offer training days and short courses on relevant topics aimed at the general public.
- To provide training opportunities for professionals within their own setting and tailored to their needs.
- To create opportunities for people in South Wales to extend their professional and personal connections with others who share their interests and goals, in order to improve the quality of living in our society.
- To provide support groups for people at risk, e.g. bereavement support, men in crisis (child separation).
- To provide a space for other supportive groups to meet and to practice. For example, the Seren group use our facilities to provide their services in this area.
